Tours
"multi-operator"!

From February 2005, the city of Tours will include regional buses in its seamless contactless ticketing system. The system - the first of its kind in France when it was launched in 2003 - also covers urban buses and regional express trains (TERs).

Contactless technology boosts sales of annual season tickets

Eighteen months after launching contactless solutions, the Paris region transport authority, RATP, has seen a 60% rise in sales of its annual season ticket, the best way of ensuring passenger loyalty. The monthly or weekly Carte Orange goes contactless in October and the number of Ascom reloading outlets will rise from 460 to 610 in two years' time. More, they may accept bank notes too.
